This is an informal opportunity for special education parents to connect with each other and with department administrators. Each workshop in the series will be held at each of the four area schools: Cherokee Point Elementary, Jerabek Elementary; Florence Elementary and Miller Elementary. Workshops will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Childcare will be provided. Workshop topics are: IEP 101 – An Introduction to Special Education; Positive Behavior Supports at Home; Supporting Children with Autism at Home; Stress Management and Building Communication; Supporting Your Child’s Learning at Home.
