Dana's NEW Morning Recreation Program
During the 2010-2011 school year, SAY San Diego will be offering a high quality fee-for-service recreation program daily from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Suggested School Supplies
backpack, a small lock for the backpack, three-ring notebook, 8-tab subject dividers, lined paper, 2-3 composition books, pencil pouch, pencils (not mechanical), ink pens, and a highlighter

On Friday, May 28, 2010, all Dana Middle School 6th grade students participated in an assembly called the “Violence Impact Forum” (VIF), presented by the Tariq Khamisa Foundation (TKF).

Dana Drama Students at the Shakespeare Festival

On April 24th, Ms. Kocar and six of her drama students participated in this annual event in Balboa Park.

The Science Department has developed a FAQ to help parents and students find answers to frequently asked questions.

Dana's Art Auction was Faaaabulous!
Silent auction featured over 70 pieces of matted and framed artwork created by Dana students. A wonderful evening was had by all. Special thanks to Dana's dedicated Art Teachers, Mrs. Bolin, Ms. Gigglberger, Mrs. Clark, and Ms. Bastani.
Dana 6th Graders Tour Correia
Our 6th grade students toured Correia Middle School on Thursday, March 4th. All Dana 6th Graders will automatically be enrolled at Correia for next school year with no pre-registration required for resident students, Choice students, and VEEP students.

Nurse Kasperick Coordinates Vision and Hearing Screening

Student learning can be significantly impacted by visual and auditory deficits. That is why Dana's School Nurse, Candace Kasperick, devotes several weeks to planning and implementing a screening process to help identify students with sensory deficits.

Dana Seminar Students Explore Cambodia Through Global Arts Program
Students from Dana and Phnom Penh will learn from each other as they connect through art and cross cultural communication. Art presentations on Friday, February 19th, 5:30-7pm.
